The Carson Center serves as the epicenter of the University of Evansville athletic department. From housing the main athletic department offices to being the home of the UE volleyball and women's basketball teams (Meeks Family Fieldhouse) and swimming and diving programs (Roy and Mary Wyttenbach Pool), the Carson Center represents the home base for UE athletics.
The Carson Center features two gymnasiums, Roy and Mary Wyttenbach Pool, various team and athletic department offices, the UE athletic training room and equipment room, various team locker rooms, and a pair of classrooms. It also connects to the UE Fitness Center, which is shared by both UE students and faculty for exercising and working out.
In 2017, the newly-remodeled Meeks Family Fieldhouse made its debut. The home of the Purple Aces women's basketball and volleyball squads was renovated and features several new amenities including:
An auxiliary gymnasium, known as the Maikranz Family Gymnasium, sits less than 100 yards away from Meeks Family Fieldhouse and can also be used for both volleyball and basketball practice. Both gymnasiums are connected by a hallway to the team locker rooms for both the men's and women's basketball teams and the volleyball team. The UE athletic training room and equipment room are also just a short walk away.
